I Am What I Am

I've seen the worst that greed can produce and the best that love can give.
I can put a face to hate and a gesture to kindness.
I know how even the smallest insignificant of smiles can make a brighter day.
I don't want to see life through rose tinted lenses.. I prefer them orange.
I don't abide by conventions.
I don't believe in wasting time.

To define me is to defy nature, yet I am a puzzle without the puzzling.

What else am I

Sane/Insane, Confident/Vulnerable, Warm/Romantic, Extrovert/Shy, Friend/Lover, Hippie/Yuppie, Metrosexual/Ubersexual/Sensual, Camden Chic Vagabond/Chelsea Dandy Tramp, Savant/Ignorant

I believe that ...

- committment is not a tropical disease
- a relationship is not the act of buying clothes together
- it's whats on offer both heart and mind that counts
- one-night stands are easy, relationships are not
- its the willingness to invest time:
. to know someone
. to make a move
. to show interest
. not to second guess
. to be frank
. to be honest, but most of all ...
. to be happy :-)

I want to be...

The wind that rustles your hair,
The sea breeze that cools you down,
The sand that rubs your body,
The hand that caresses your cheeks,
The icy water that tingles your skin,
The sun that warms you up,
The fire that burns within,
The earth where you stand,
The atoms that hold you together,
The air that you breathe.

I saw the ocean in your eyes,
The hunger and thirst in your soul,
The filth of our minds in your smile ...

Oh ma bien-aimee,
When I look into your eyes,
I loose myself in the extase it brings,
body to body, wrapped around you

then

I'm You and,
You are Me,
and Together,
we are ... One.

These are some of my favourite things ...

Dolphins, Chocolate, Amarula, Biltong, Mango, Chicken Satay, Aligator Jerkin, Coconut, Pisang Ambon, Sugar cane, Rum, Impalas, Baobabs, Giraffes, Kissangua, Missangas, Pitangas, Sap-Sap, Pinefruit, Fondue, Breadfruit, Cornflour bread, Coffee, Mocha, Ouma rusks, Nestum, Hot Cocoa, Goodnight kisses, Last call of the day, Waking up by your side

These are the things I like...

The smell of freshly wet grass after torrential rain
Splendour in the veld at twilight
Midnight skinny dipping
Sparkles in the surf at night
Roasting marshmellows by the fire

But most of all

I like

YOU

Who Am I?

- Was I created or always existed?
- When did I begin? In my Mother's womb or somewhere else before?
- Am I complete or still in construction?
- Am I awake or am I asleep?
- When do I live truly - when I'm conscious or sleeping?
- Do I exist right now, right here or elsewhere at the same time?
- Am I actually alive or just think I am?
- Am I living or just surviving?

What am I?

- Man or Machine?
- Free or Slave?
- Human or Extra-terrestrial?
- One or Many?
- Active or Passive?
- Introvert or Extravert?

Where am I going?

- Will I die or live forever?
- If I die, will I be conscious of being dead?
- Will it hurt?
- Will I be missed?
- Will I stop being counted when I'm gone?

Let Me Fly Away...

... let me dissolve into ethereal matter
... let me submerge into the vacuum of unconsciousness
... let me be absorbed by a sense of serendipity

... let me be free without being shackled
... let me be alone without being lonely
... let me be one of the parts rather than the sum of them

... just let me BE

... without questioning WHO I AM
... or WHAT I want to be
... may the HOW, WHERE and
... WHEN be dictated by chance

... let LOVE reign and PEACE abound
... let COURAGE settle in, out your FEARS
... let LIFE roll in as each day goes by

... evict DEATH if you can
... evict PESSIMISM and NEGATIVITY
... evict YOURSELF from this world if you must

... and when you get tired of Letting,
... Sub-Let,
... take a New Lease

... but Never, Never Sell-Out!

Who Am I?

I am a dynamic figure, often scaling buildings, climbing mountains and crushing icy boundaries. I have been known to remodel airports on my travels, reorganize cities in my lunch breaks, making them friendlier and more accessible for aliens.

I write award-winning symphonies and Pullitzer prize novels, I enchant Presidents with my poetry but cannot manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I walk over water for months in a row but do not perform miracles for free.

I woo men & women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing. I can pilot trains up severe inclines at ferocious speed. I cook 30-minute meals in twenty minutes and I teach 90-day language courses in 1 light-year.

I am an expert in Origami, a veteran in love, a fanatic for chocolate and an outlaw in Nicaragua. When I'm bored I build large spaceships in my backyard. I enjoy urban parasailing and jungle kite surfing.

On Wednesdays, I'm a Friday person - I repair electrical appliances free of charge. I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, a cut-throat negotiator and a ruthless pirate. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy underwear. I don't perspire and I very rarely breathe unless it's underwater.

I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan mail. I run the 100m in 9.56 secs. My incredible vegetables have earned me fame in international horticultural circles. Children trust me, Governments don't. I have performed several covert operations for the CIA, KGB and MI6.... ssssssssh, don't tell anyone.

I've piloted the Enterprise and I've fought Klingons. I sleep once a week; when I do sleep, I sleep in a tree. The laws of physics do not apply to me. I'm virtual and yet I can feel and touch.

I'm a polimath and polyglot, one-dimensional polymorphic, polyamorous and sometimes polygamous - yes, at least... I'm also ... honest!
